Siemens Hackathon

Teaching | Siemens Hackathon

In February of 2020, a group of students from the Interactive Design Cluster at Humber College participated in a Siemens Hackathon during our Week 8: Playdays event.

In 2018 Humber College opened the Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation. This building is built to achieve LEED-Platinum certification and is a net-zero energy building. Students were provided with sample data from the building automation API and were given the task to visualize the data to help educate students about the building's features. The hackathon was facilitated by faculty from Humber and Siemens employees.
